Their eBay store started as a humble side hustle, a way to fund their weekend expeditions. They operated out of the cramped basement of their college house, where boxes of gear competed for space with their climbing ropes and camping gear.
But what began as a modest operation quickly ignited into something far greater. Their shared dream, fueled by late-night brainstorming sessions and endless cups of Turtle Rock coffee, began to take shape. In 2010, as they prepared to graduate, they decided to go all-in. They built their first website, alpineextreme.co, embracing the trendy new .co domain. The name, inspired by one of the founder's favorite movies, "Aspen Extreme," captured the spirit of high-altitude adventures and the daring escapades they longed to live
From those humble beginnings, Alpine Extreme began to flourish. The founders poured their hearts into the business, curating a selection of top-notch gear that could withstand the harshest elements. Their dedication paid off, and they soon outgrew their basement headquarters. Seeking new horizons, they relocated to Bozeman, Montana, a town known for its breathtaking wilderness and vibrant outdoor community.
In Bozeman, they partnered with top-tier global logistics providers around the world, streamlining their operations and allowing them to focus on what they loved most: exploring the wild and sharing their passion with others.
