Explore with top rollers, duffels & packs.
Choose snowshoes by total carried load, terrain and boot fit, not length alone. Start with your body weight plus clothing, boots, pack, water and other equipment. Then compare that total with the chart for the exact model and size you are considering.
Atlas defines load as the user's body weight plus gear. As an example, a 165lb wearer carrying 20lb of equipment has a 185lb total load. That arithmetic is a starting point for selection, not a flotation or terrain guarantee.
| Size | Body weight plus gear |
|---|---|
| 25 inches | 120–200lb / 54–91kg |
| 30 inches | 150–250lb / 68–113kg |
These ranges match our Atlas Access men's listing and the published Atlas Access size chart, reviewed September 18, 2026. The manufacturer page may describe a newer season; confirm the supplied product revision and its instructions. Do not apply this chart to other Atlas models, women's models or youth snowshoes.
The load ranges overlap. Match the intended terrain and conditions to the manufacturer's guidance for the model, then confirm that the binding accommodates your actual boots. Do not assume a snowshoe selected for a gentle trail is suitable for steep or technical terrain merely because your weight falls within its chart.
