Olicamp ION Stove Kits: 550ml, 750ml and 900ml Compared

The cookware capacity and exact kit identifier matter more than the shared ION stove name. A mug-only listing, a stove-and-mug kit, and a stove-and-pot kit are not the same purchase.

Alpine Extreme reference guide, checked September 18, 2026. The 750ml and 900ml kits below are matched to Liberty Mountain's Olicamp listings by both SKU and barcode. The 550ml kit is described separately using our catalog record; its complete contents should be confirmed before relying on a nesting arrangement.

Capacity is only part of the packing decision

For the 750ml kit, Liberty Mountain lists cookware dimensions of approximately 10.1cm wide by 11.3cm high and a cookware weight of 112g. The 900ml pot is approximately 12.7cm wide by 9.3cm high and 136g. These are published cookware dimensions and weights, not our own measurements of internal clearance or complete packed-kit weight.

The 900ml option is wider and shorter in those specifications. Compare that shape with the space in your pack, not only the capacity number. Think about the amount of water you prepare at once, how you use the vessel for drinking or food, and the shape that works with the rest of your kit.

What the published nesting claims establish

The distributor describes the 750ml mug as fitting around a 32oz Nalgene bottle or a 100g/3.9oz isobutane canister. It describes the 900ml pot as accommodating an 8.1oz isobutane canister. Those statements refer to the named containers and cookware; they do not establish that a stove, canister, cloth and accessories all fit together with the lid fully closed.

For a specific packing arrangement, provide the bottle or canister model, dimensions, and everything you intend to place inside. Ask for confirmation before buying solely on a nesting assumption. A similarly sized canister from another range may not have the same overall shape.

Fuel and ignition are separate checks

Both matched distributor kit listings describe the ION stove as manually ignited and state that fuel is sold separately. Check the supplied instructions for the approved fuel connection and operation. Never assume that a kit photograph includes a fuel canister or an ignition tool.

Keep the product instructions with the kit and use a camping stove only as directed in a suitable outdoor setting. A cookware storage fit does not prove that every stove-and-pot combination is approved for operation.

A practical way to choose

Start with the cookware capacity you need, then compare its shape with your pack. Verify the exact kit SKU, what is included, and any bottle or canister you plan to nest. Finish by checking the current product page for availability and price rather than relying on an old promotion or a similar-looking listing.
