Replacement and reuse
Use a new connecting link when renewing a chain. Follow the chain and link instructions; a reuse count is not specified.

Package chain-fitting notes

1. Correct chain tool
Use only the correct chain tool for fitting the pin.
2. Pin and chain length
Never reinsert a pin. Measure the chain carefully before initial fitting.
3. Renewing a chain
Always use a new connecting link when renewing the chain.
4. If in doubt
Consult a specialist cycle dealer if you are unsure.
5. Which links to remove
Remove links from the outer links, not the inner links.
6. Check the plate holes
After pushing out a pin, check the plate holes for burrs. Remove any burr carefully with a small flat-edged screwdriver.
7. Fit the connecting link
Once the chain is the correct length, insert the connecting link and snap it firmly into place.
8. Keep chain parts matched
Do not mix links, pins or connecting links from another manufacturer with a YBN chain.
